When you meet someone, you always try to find a common ground. If possible, a man who sees a future with you. It’s easy living in the moment, but what about the things that are yet to come?
At the end of the day, you want someone to come home to. Planning a future together is never easy; it’s actually far from it. But when you talk about it with that special someone, it feels like a piece of cake.
However, you’re still not completely sure whether your significant other sees a future with you. There are constant what-ifs and a certain level of uncertainty.
We’re all allowed to have our doubts, but is second-guessing really good for our health? It’s sure not, but do you have a choice? How do you know he wants to be with you for the rest of his life?
1. He asks for your help
When your partner is constantly asking you to share your viewpoint on matters with him, it definitely means something. First of all, it implies just how important he sees you and your opinions and thoughts.
Second of all, he obviously respects you a great deal. This also shows you that he has control over the situation. But what’s most important is that he won’t make any decisions without consulting with you.
Sure, he can decide on his own which tie to wear to work. But when there are things and events that are bigger than him, he comes to you.
It’s a clear sign that he sees a future with you because he considers you someone he can rely on. If you’re his go-to person, then darling, you’re winning.
Men don’t usually like to admit that they’re dependent on others. However, non-stop asking for help might suggest otherwise.
2. You’ve met his friends and family
When you’re in a relationship with someone and you don’t think of it as anything serious, meeting family and friends doesn’t even cross your mind.
On the other hand, when you meet the right one, you can’t wait to show them to your loved ones. This is why meeting family and friends is one of the major signs he sees a future with you.
Those in our special inner circle mean the most to us. Engaging you with these close ones means you become one of them.
If he suggests you meet his friends and family, it’s a serious thing, trust me. A man won’t easily invite his girlfriend to a family or friend gathering.
If you get that invitation, it’s safe to say it’s a big sign. He definitely sees a future with you because he doesn’t want to keep you a secret. He wants the whole world to know!
3. He daydreams a lot
When I say he daydreams, you’re probably thinking of your man having that dreamy look in his eyes, imagining where you’re going to be in the next five years.
Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but men aren’t really that romantic. I say daydream, but I’m really referring to those times when he actually starts talking about the future.
At first, he may be all shy and weird about it. He’ll think he’s acting mysterious, but it’s really going to look awkward and clumsy.
He might start saying what if a lot. It’ll probably sound like he’s trying to propose a plan or something, but he doesn’t know how.
What if we go on a big trip together once we find the time? He doesn’t literally have to say these words, but it’s likely something along these lines.
4. He wants to change
Usually, when you ask a man to change, he refuses. Moreover, he takes it as an insult. Trust me, I’m not playing on the girl side, but we’re somehow always right.
Men just need a bit of a push from us to be their better version. Honestly, it’s a lot of work but it’s worth it. Therefore, if he wants to change, he’s definitely ready to stay.
He sees a future with you if he doesn’t object or take offense to what you have to say or criticize. Moreover, he’s thankful and calm about it because you care enough about him to help him out.
A man who sees the future with you will understand this as your attempt to help him become a better person. It might be difficult in the beginning, but he’ll come around eventually.
The change I’m referring to here isn’t of the monumental kind that turns his entire life upside down. It’s just some small imperfections that, once fixed, will only make his life that much better.
Why on earth would someone share all of their secrets if they’re not planning on staying with you for a long time? Well, this isn’t really a subtle sign.
But for some girls who just don’t get it, he sees a future with you! If he’s keen on telling you about his fears, desires, or anything that he hasn’t shared with anyone else yet, he’s likely to stay.
Men aren’t really that sensitive and emotional like women are. However, that doesn’t stop them from expressing themselves whenever they need to.
It’s just that they’re probably going to do it in a more unique way. While a woman would probably sit down and talk through it, men like to beat around the bush more often than not.
He’ll probably tell you the story of his first crush or first kiss. Perhaps he’ll reminisce about his good old college days or some secrets from his childhood.
6. He tells you he loves you
Sure, this doesn’t really guarantee you that he sees a future with you. But just think about it, why would he ever express his feelings for you if they weren’t this strong?
Men usually aren’t the first ones to blurt out those three famous words, so once they do, they genuinely mean it. Of course, there are a few men who aren’t afraid to shout it from the top of their lungs.
All in all, strong feelings will always prevail and you’ll just know. He doesn’t have to directly say that he wants to stay by your side.
He’ll definitely find a way to show it. If he doesn’t verbally come out with it, he may just literally stay by your side until you grasp the fact that he means it.
If he wants to show you that he’s not going anywhere, he’ll probably try out all other options before openly saying it. But if he sees a future with you, it probably won’t be much of a struggle anyways.
