When It’s Real Love, You Don’t Just Give Up, You Fight For It

Love is the most amazing thing in the world. It inspires and motivates us, and it pushes us to grow and become the best version of ourself.

It’s what makes the world go round. It makes us laugh and sing as if it gives us the wings we need to reach that divine sensation.

Love is the reason to keep living and searching for that special someone with whom it will all be easy. It is a feeling that has been written about, sung about, and dreamed about ever since humans existed.

Couldn’t it be said that love is actually the purpose of our life? It makes us feel like we have found the missing piece of the puzzle that’s our life.

All that is true, but it doesn’t mean that love is all about milk and honey. Love can also hurt, and it’s a pain that makes a lot of us cry and feel helpless. It takes hard work to have a happy love life.

Despite what movies teach us, love doesn’t just magically work out for the best. It takes a lot of effort for a relationship to be successful.

You need a lot of patience, and you sometimes even have to make sacrifices for love. Truth be told, all those great relationships didn’t become that way overnight.

Every relationship has to go through some hard times. Even the best ones had to fight to survive some bumps in the road.

The thing about it is that you don’t just give up on love when things get tough. When it’s real love, you don’t just give up, you fight for it.

It takes effort to make a relationship work, and those who give up the moment it gets tough don’t understand love. When you have a fight with the person you love, you don’t just lash out and walk away.

Instead, you talk about it, make compromises and try to find a solution. You can’t put your ego first if you want your love to succeed. Your love should always come first.

Loving someone is about being there for them and sticking around through thick and thin. If you aren’t ready to go through some difficult times holding hands, you shouldn’t be in that relationship.

You have to understand that love isn’t only hugs and kisses. There is drama, sorrow, and pain, and there are tears but if you really love the person you are with, that doesn’t stop you from loving them.

You can fight, you can even scream at each other, but you will never give up on each other if it’s true love. True love is stronger than anything as long as you are both in it for good.

You can’t love someone only when things are going well. If that is the case, you don’t even really love them. Love is about being there with each other when things get tough.

When you really love someone, you love them even when you don’t like them. You might not like a decision that they made or their opinions about a certain topic… but that doesn’t stop you from loving them.

Things happen when you are in a relationship. Your partner might pick up some bad habits or unintentionally hurt you in some way but they aren’t reasons for giving up on the relationship altogether if you really love them.

Instead, you give them a chance to explain, and you sit and talk to each other until you work it out. You compromise and talk to each other all night if you need to. But whatever you do, you don’t give up on the love you have.

You don’t show up only when it’s convenient and abandon them when they need you the most; not if you truly love them. When you really love someone, you stick around.

Before I met my husband, I was with guys who would bail on me the moment it got tough. Not only guys, other people in my life who I thought loved me all left me when I had problems.

When I finally met my husband, I was always scared that he was going to leave just like the rest of them. That is why our relationship became successful only once we finally got married.

Only when he married me did I start to believe that he wasn’t going to leave no matter how many times he showed me that before.

Even when my world was falling apart, he would stay by my side, comfort me as it fell apart, and help me build it back even better than it was.

I am telling you this because I want you to know that there are people like that. There are people who truly know how to love, and they will teach you the meaning of love.

Such a person will stick around no matter what troubles you’re going through at that moment. What you need to understand is that, in the end, only a person like that is worthy of your love in the first place.

Those who come and go as they please don’t know how to love… they don’t understand the point of it all. That point is to stick together, always, and no matter what.

I can’t tell you how amazing it feels when you know that whatever happens, you’re in it together.

Your problems are also your partner’s problems and the other way around. Solving them is much easier when there are two of you working on it. Once you find a person who will truly love you, you won’t have to go through anything alone ever again.

That feeling you get when they hold your hand at the dentist or hold an umbrella over your head… that feeling multiplied by a thousand is the feeling you get when you know that they will always be there for you.

You will feel loved like you have never been loved before. That’s when you realize that you really haven’t been loved before… Because when it’s real love, you don’t just give up, you fight for it.
