Start Living Your Life to The Fullest
A few years ago, somewhere, I read a quote that says: “I am a member of a species that thinks working five days a week to pay off a debt on a bank’s screen computer is a freedom.” And this quote impacted my life more than any other. Ask yourself: Are you really free? Are you really living your life of purely surviving day by day? And are you living your life to the fullest?
We all spend our weeks waiting for the weekend, spend our years waiting to go on a holiday etc. And in the meantime, life passes by us. The majority of people live their lives as if they are robots or drones. We live our lives automatically, stuck in different kinds of routines day by day. You’ve perfected multitasking and it’s like you are living your life on auto-pilot. How long has it been since you asked yourself if you are happy? And how long has it been since you were truly happy without any particular reason?
You are always in a rush and don’t have the time for your family and friends. And what is most important, you don’t have time for yourself. You would like to read a book in peace and tranquillity, you would like to watch your favorite series or just drink coffee without hurry and stress. But, you just can’t find the time. Even when you have the time, you feel exhausted and don’t have the energy for anything besides rest. And you shouldn’t blame anyone for that situation. You are not a priority for yourself and everything is more important for you than yourself.
You are probably afraid. And you are scared of starting over. You are scared if you’ll fail. But, how can you ever succeed if you don’t fail sometimes? You are scared of what people will say. But, it’s never too late to make changes in your life. And don’t let anyone else tell you differently. You don’t depend on other people’s opinion and evaluation. Don’t allow anyone to judge you for your life choices or lower your self-esteem. You don’t have to walk in anyone’s shoes or through a predetermined path.
Remember, you’re never too old for something if you feel young enough. If you want to ride a rollercoaster, go for a hike, start learning a new language, dye your hair pink, run a marathon, start exercising or visit some exotic destination, now is the best time for it. You probably have millions of future plans that you keep putting off. And you always think that you have enough time for everything and keep promising yourself you will do these things soon. In order to make these plans real, set yourself goals that will make you happy and begin accomplishing them. Start with small plans and goals that won’t take much of your time and continue with bigger ones.
Now is the time to do everything you have always wanted and to fulfill your childhood dreams. Life and time will not wait for you. You never know what will happen tomorrow so, use today in the best way you can. This all may sound as empty phrases for you, but it really is the truth.
You should take advantage of everything life gives you and should try to look at everything as positive as you can. Remember that life possibilities are endless and you are the only one holding you back and limiting yourself. It’s up to you how you will receive gifts life sends you. If you are positive and see the good in everything, you will have enough energy to fulfill the goals you have set for yourself.
Be aware that you can’t change the past or some people, so don’t waste your time and energy on thinking about that. Always look forward! Use your time to grow and improve in any way possible and you won’t be able to do that as long as there are things and people holding you back in the past. This is the only way in which you won’t give yourself a chance to waste your life.
If you know tomorrow is the last day of your life, what would you do and who would you call? And what are you waiting for? Start living your life to the fullest!
