There are some behaviors introverts have that others might consider strange, but I think it is a good thing. Some of us take it as a gift, while others don’t. It is changing actually, from the situation to the situation. We don’t understand extroverts and they don’t understand us. It is just the way it is.
A lot of people would never guess some things about introverts, but being an introvert isn’t that bad. So, here are some facts and traits of introverts:
1. WE LIKE PEOPLE, AND WE DON’T
We love the thing that we can be around people and getting to know the real them when nothing is said. The real side of people. But, what we don’t like is being around fake people, keeping up some stupid gossip or talking about nonsense and how the weather is nice today. So, you can always wonder which category you fall in. It is a double-edge sword. We exactly know who could be our friend or who couldn’t be.
2. WE WISH OTHERS LOVE AS DEEPLY AS WE DO
We think deeply and care about genuine relationships. We just love deeply. Most often, introverts love more than our partners. It is said that an introvert is usually paired with an extrovert, which explains why an introvert would love their partner more. They think about their partner many times throughout the day, they want to know them better and understand why they are the way they are and think of ways to do little things for them.
3. LOYALTY IS A BIG DEAL TO US
You mean a lot to us if we take time to know you. We invest a lot of time, love, kindness in people we care about. We want to stick around and be a true friend. If you blow us off, trivialize our friendship or betray us, it will cut us. That’s why we choose our friends wisely.
4. ATTENTION-SEEKING BEHAVIORS ANNOY US THE MOST
When people act fake to get attentions it really drive us crazy. We don’t like being the center of attention, so neither do we want you to be. We just don’t like to have everyone’s eyes on us and definitely not to talk in the crowd.
5. WE’RE, USUALLY, NOT JUDGING YOU
Even if we are quit and observant, we usually don’t judge. We may look like we people-watch but that’s because we want to see what’s going on. We simply don’t like wasting a lot of time and energy on matters like this. It’s just that we try to find a crowd we could adapt to.
6. WE’RE NOT IN A BAD MOOD
We are usually thinking about something. And it can last all day long. Our brains are constantly on the go. We just prefer our own company at times. We like our own ideas, we love daydreaming, creating, reading, watching a movie, relaxing. That’s what we are.
7. WE REALLY NEED TO BE ALONE TO RECHARGE
You may think we are socially awkward, shy and boring, but we really need to be alone to recharge. We just try to avoid meaningless interactions, but we would die for a genuine relationships and a deep conversation. It’s even draining to be around numerous people and we really need to be alone.
8. WE NEED TO GET OUT; EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE
We don’t like to be alone all the time. We like to go out and see new sights every once in a while. After being a hermit for a few days we will be ready to get out. We like to have coffee and hang out, but after that we want to be ALONE.
9. WE GET DISTRACTED EASILY
Too much stimuli is not a good thing for introverts. We enjoy working in quiet environments, away from others. We get distracted by certain noises, which can include water dripping from a faucet, non-rhythmic clatter and a variety of sounds that become annoying. Soothing sounds don’t bother us. Movement in our range of sight can serve as distractions too. People staring at us or standing behind us while we work also serves as distractions and annoys us. Don’t stand behind an introvert when they’re doing something.
10. WE’RE NOT NECESSARILY BORED, EVEN IF WE LOOK LIKE WE ARE
An introvert can have fun without jumping all over the place. In fact, an introvert is rarely bored because we’re deep in thought most of the time. Our thoughts keep us from boredom. We can be absolutely thrilled while sitting still, and you wouldn’t know the difference.
