Being a girl who’s bad at expressing emotions is tough because you just, well…you suck at being expressive which puts you in a negative light. But the truth is there’s a lot more going on in your mind than meets the eyes. In fact, too much is going on there, and you’re just not good at letting it out.

  1. Everyone, and I mean everyone from your co-workers to the catcallers, assumes you’re a cold bitch.
  2. But really, you’ve just mastered the art of completely guarding your heart and seperating yourself from your feelings.
  3. People often think you’re depressed, but you’re really just quiet in nature.
  4. You can be happy and joyous even when it’s not shown on your face. Only your closest friends can tell.
  5. You love too much. Your heart is so full of love that you have so much to give. But you’re afraid to give it away.
  6. Because people have taken advantage of it, and you don’t know if you want to take the risk.
  7. You tend to suppress your feelings, putting a lid on how you really feel about something.
  8. Because you’re convinced that you can keep it in there so you don’t have to deal with the responsibility of letting it out.
  9. But eventually it comes out anyway (dammit).
  10. You hate crying but you find yourself crying anyway, when no one’s there to see it of course.
  11. And when you cry, boy do you cry. Those tears come out like flood and fire.
  12. And nothing’s worse than crying in public. You just want to crawl under a rock at that point.
  13. You kind of suck at socializing because you don’t know how to put all those thoughts into words.
  14. As a result, your emotions are all over the place, so it’s better to stick to being quiet.
  15. You love this beautiful and terrible world. You love people and are fascinated by life.
  16. But it’s so hard to even put it into words or, you know, express it.
  17. It’s even harder to keep it to yourself and pretend like you’re a hard boss bitch.
  18. Being in a relationship can be difficult because opening your heart to someone is scary and opens the door to having to learn how to be vulnerable. *shivers*
  19. But sometimes, you know you have to take the risk because you can’t do life alone.
  20. So from time to time, you let your emotions rain.
