I admire you for trying. I really do. In a world where they see you as either too skinny or too fat, where you can only be too loud or too quiet, where you’re never the right way no matter how hard you try—striving for perfection is brave. Moreover, knowing that other people’s opinions are not your definition of perfection makes you nothing but inspiring!
I’m not talking about chasing what others like about you, I am talking about your countless attempts to be a better version of yourself. Your alpha personality probably made it hard enough to live in this world where pushing too hard for success is not a “feminine” trait and you can use all the applause you can get.
Here you are, living in the fast lane, always speaking your mind and redefining “perfection” for yourself. You must have lost many people along the way, not because you’re doing something wrong—but because there will always be people who can’t keep up with your pace.
They called you a control freak, too competitive, too upfront—well in case you need a reminder; there is no such a thing as being “too much”. You are just enough the way you are.
People tend to forget that those around them who are always strong also need support from time to time. I know you’re always there for people you love. Sometimes, they might forget you’re not a superhuman and you also need bit of a push.
I know you’re perfectly fine on your own, but I also want you to know I’m proud of you. It’s okay to have bad days, lazy days and little failures. It’s okay if you’re not the best version of yourself today—you rock anyway! Keep striving.
